Update on Kristen in Chile

I talked to Kristen last night on Skype. She's doing great. She passed her first spanish class and will finish the second one this friday. This is her last week in Santiago. They experienced tear gas this week. There were Chilean students protesting and they sprayed tear gas and it came through the ventilation of the subway system. Kristen said her eyes and nose burned.
They are going to a place where they make pottery today.
They will be leaving next weekend to fly to the northern part of Chile to an area called the Atacama desert and a city called Antofagasta. It's much colder and drier in this area. I've included a picture I got from the web.
