Childlike faith

You here people say alot of times that they want to go "deeper" in God's word It brings to mind someone mature, intelligent, successful, etc
I honestly think that when God sees someone "getting deeper" he sees the face of a child Someone who realizes that it takes childlike love, trust, and obedience to have a "deeper" relationship with God Tearing down all the mistrust, pride, defenses that we've allowed to take over our heart and draw us away from God He never wanted it to be complicated We have allowed it to become that way He just wants us to love Him and others with all of our heart...that's it
Simple..right?

The first Thursday (well, now Tuesday) night small group was on childlike faith, what it means to have childlike faith, and I'm under the idea that it revolves around, mostly, trusting God, hoping in God, and extravagant love (end of 1 Corinthians 13).

I always see the one "deep" with God not as being some suit-wearing, stuck-up, gold-pen, carpet-rolling suave preacher, but someone who really enjoys life, loves everybody, and is often seen as a fool for his adventurous, risk-taking life. But yet he/she is seen as remarkable, and people are always wondering, "Why's he/she always so happy? Always so joyful? Always so... in love with life?" Because he/she is in love with the author of life! I see people "deep" in faith as dancing instead of walking, laughing instead of scolding, hugging instead of ostracizing.
