I just read a chapter from a book called No Perfect People Allowed that made that same statement. Just as it says in 1 Corinthians: "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God makes it grow." We as Christians overburden ourselves with the responsibility to make others grow in their relationship with God. We are simply to help plant seeds in their lives and to make sure the soil is healthy for others to grow.
Adam I have that book It's been awhile since I read it I loved the title of the book I think too many times we get "lazy and self-focused and think just because we're "saved" we don't need to do anything else including letting God work through us and strengthen our faith and share that with those who need that love. I like the visual of planting and watering
