AADE in Washington DC

These are 2 of the pictures I took this evening when we went sightseeing. As you can see there are definitely political issues going on in front of the white house.
We started out with a delay in our flight out of Dayton because of the weather. It only ended up being 1 1/2 hrs so we got in about 2pm. We ate lunch at a little grill around the corner from our hotel and then shuttled to the Conference Center to get registered before tomorrow. We met up with one of our coworkers,Barb, and walked around to look at the sights. We are about 5 min from the White House and several monuments. It's very red, white and blue here :^) You can get McCain or Obama stuff on any street corner. We ate at the oldest saloon in Washington DC for dinner. Their parks here are beautiful but definitely the homeless situation is a problem.
Tomorrow starts a busy day of learning but I'm excited to be here.
