"Slumdog Millionaire"

If someone had told me that I would love this movie, I would have been skeptical. My friend Bona recommended it so I gave it a little more thought. We like to go to matinees(cheaper) and it's a cold snowy day so we chose this movie. I'm glad we did. It is hands down a great movie. It gives you an insight into the poverty of India. It does so by using characters that you become attached to. When I watched the Golden Globes I had never heard of it and couldn't figure out why it was winning all the awards. Now I know why. I'll be very surprised if it doesn't win Best Picture and Best Director.
