"End of the Spear"

If you ever wonder if a whole culture of people can change from bad to good..or if missionaries and their families make a difference..go see this movie
It's based on a true story of the Waodani tribe in Ecuador and 5 missionaries who were killed by them in the 1950's Nate Saint(one of the men who was killed) has a son Steve who went back and developed a friendship with one of the tribesmen,Mincayani, who killed his father
The impact that the wives of the missionaries had on the tribe is definitely God.

Jay's BSF leader was the child of a physician that tended to the men that went on this missions trip. Very interesting how close of a circle we all live in together. It's also interesting that this movie would come out the year that I'm headed to Ecuador. Hmmm!?

my former boss in oklahoma city, Mart Green (owner of Mardel Christian Bookstore) and son of David Green (owner of Hobby Lobby) is the exec. producer on this film. he's such a great guy who's passion for this very story and casue began in the mid-90's. I remember sitting in his office talking about the possibility of bringing this story to the big screen. Seeing it as a reality is so cool.

My evangelism professor is friends with the son of one of the missionaries. He was really excited about the movie. I have yet to see it...
