Times of Trial

"Anyone can be loving, kind, and self-controlled in seasons of blessing. But what happens to our attitudes in trying times? The real test of who we are occurs not when things are going our way but when misfortune comes our way. If the Spirit is in charge, we will learn to love when want to hate;practice kindness when we are accused;give a gentle response when others are harsh; and have self-control when tempation strikes us hard"

Ever since I became a Christian i've noticed I have alot more patience in hard times...and its very helpful. But Its hard to keep your cool in awkward situations sometimes.

I struggle with my attitude a lot, especially when I feel cheated, sleighted, or pooped on :-). The clear truth is, inside my mind I struggle a lot with some things like anger and selfishness, and when things are going bad, I fight-sometimes-the urges to be hateful, mean, and unloving. It is really hard for me.
