Kristen's 1st week

Kristen has made it through 1 week at Lee and she loves it I've talked to her and Tyler on the phone and she and I had a nice IM conversation last night until 1am
She's liked her classes esp chorale union She told me "Altos rock" they have the best voice range She takes a class where the professor has her sing and then critiques her.. I don't think she cares for that one as much :) She has a writing class that she liked and a New Testament class ..all students minor in Bible Kristen said she has 4 Buddhists in her New Testament class from Napal India and they have never seen a bible before There are also students who are Islam there
Kristen's biggest adjustment I think has been dorm life and living with someone else in a small room She has always had her own room and bathroom and now she has to share a bathroom with 3 other girls
She told me yesterday she was going to go to a rugby meeting I found that humorous because the one year Kristen did anything remotely athletic was in kindergarten when she did soccer and she was more interested in playing with the other girls hair than kicking the ball She found out it's like football so she is passing :) Darrell said she probably would have broken her nose!
As at every college Christian or not there are kids who are hypocritical and those who are testing the rules That's been a reality check for Kristen....learning who you want to be friends with and who is about "appearances only " Kristen has a good heart and she'll do fine ..and she has Tyler to look out for her :)
I still miss her but I'm glad she is at Lee and moving on to the next step in her life
